This ritual is an act of transmutation: something is let go, something is welcomed in. Fire is both destruction and creation, consumption and illumination. The experience of the ritual is intense, both physical and metaphorical.
Characters involved
- ๐ The Forger โ The keeper of the place, the one who gives structure to the ritual and ensures its safety and coherence. They bridge the gap between ritual and survival.
- ๐ฌ Ruck โ The key to the ritual. Ruck is not here for themself but to channel the meanings and transform them into something accessible. The ritual flows through them, even if they are not the one leading it.
- ๐ฐ The Castler โ The mediator. The only one capable of convincing Ruck to be present. Their role is subtle, yet without them, the ritual would never take place.
Location: The Volcano
The Volcano is a space that is warm, welcoming, and isolated. There is no noise, no interference. It is a place of natural transformation, where the earth itself changes state, becoming something new. The heat sustains the body, the silence holds the mind. Here, visions and awareness emerge effortlessly.
Equipment: The Magic Fruit
The Magic Fruit is the catalyst. It is consumed before the ritual to amplify perception and dissolve the filters of the rational mind. It is not just a tool but a guide, a medium through which the boundaries of ordinary perception are erased.
The Crystals
The crystals act as vessels of meaning. Each participant carries two:
- Bismuth โ A symbol of artifice, human structure, and the geometric complexity of the mind. It must be let go into the fire, as an offering.
- Cobalt โ A symbol of introspection, mystery, and the depth that is accepted without the need for resolution. It is kept, held close, absorbed into oneโs path.
Ritual Process
- Arrival at the Volcano โ The place is prepared. The fire is lit by The Forger, ensuring everything is ready. The heat of the fire is the first contact with the ritualโa physical sensation that prepares the body.
- Consumption of the Magic Fruit โ It is slowly ingested. Time stretches, boundaries blur.
- Offering the Bismuth โ The artificial crystal is thrown into the fire. Its dissolution is observed, the metal shifting form as it melts. This is the moment of release, of shedding the unnecessary.
- Receiving the Cobalt โ The second crystal is held in hand. Its weight, its density, its energy are absorbed. This is an act of acceptance: what is taken in does not need to be understood, only lived.
- The Experience of the Fire โ The heat, the breath, the visions. The ritual has no wordsโonly presence.
- Closure โ As the fire dims, Ruck is the last to leave the place, carrying with them the meaning of what has been lived.
Meaning
The Ritual of the Magic Fire is an act of transformation that does not require explanation. Artifice is let go, depth is welcomed, and fire stands as both witness and guide. It is a total experience, where meaning is not discussed, but lived.
“The ritual is not performed to gain something but to align with what already is.” Ruck
